Amanda Saunders

Amanda Saunders is a partner in Sonosky Chambers’ Alaska office. She works in all areas of the firm’s practice, with a particular focus on trial and appellate litigation and general counsel matters. Amanda represents Tribes and Tribal organizations on a wide range of Indian law matters, including tribal sovereignty, self-determination and self-governance, environmental law, and tribal economic development. Amanda represents Tribes and Tribal organizations in litigation in federal, tribal, and state courts, as well as before state and federal agencies. Amanda is currently assisting Tribal governments in evaluating the impact of PFAS on their reservations and is also litigating Tribal claims in multi-district litigation against the manufacturers of PFAS. Before joining the firm, Amanda clerked for Justice Craig Stowers (Ret.) of the Alaska Supreme Court. Amanda received her J.D. from UC Davis School of Law and her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
