Keynote: The Future of Tribal Sovereignty and Tribal Advocacy in an Era of Automated Legal Reasoning

This keynote will address our evolving advocacy roles in Native law as AI becomes ubiquitous. The discussion will review the legal issues of AI bias, ethical responsibility when using AI, tribal control and governance of its tribal knowledge, and why human judgment and Native advocacy may be more important going forward than at any other time in legal history. Mr. Bodmer will discuss broader issues of tribal attorneys using AI tools more effectively, rather than surrendering professional judgment to them.
